 LyricsAfrica.com is a website dedicated to entertainment in Africa. It was created to promote African music by presenting information and other material to the world via the Internet. The Internet was thought to be the best medium as it reaches the whole globe instantaneously and is available 24/7. LyricsAfrica's vision is to have all the information you need about African Entertainment. Africa has a lot to offer in terms of music and LyricsAfrica aims at showing that to the world and helping the artist get the exposure they need.
LyricsAfrica was conceived and designed in 2002 by Still Waters Run Deep. All throughout the development of the site, Still always sought the intelligence and creativity of his greatest friend, Pots. Pots has continued to be an invaluable consultant for LyricsAfrica.
One year after creation, LyricsAfrica went into the doldrums for about 10 months until late 2004, when it was revitalized and everything about it was changed and improved.
The design, business model and strategy was completely re-engineered.Now with a highly innovative and enthusiastic marketing manager, Ken the MindBlower, the site is scoring high to the amazement of us all. On several occasions the site had Pyrrhic victory (been a victim of its own success) where the bandwidth has been exceeded making the site inaccessible!
LyricsAfrica has gone into partnership with several corporates and individuals to leverage each other's efforts to meet our various goals.
Submission of material like music and photos to LyricsAfrica is free but profiles on particular artists attracts a small fee. Anyone can submit material that will be published on the site. Artists and DJ are encouraged to bring their material for publication.
