Jordan Katembula a.ka. JK, is set to release his latest twelve track album later this month titled No Pressure.
In an interview with the Weekend Post at Romaside studios where he was putting the final touches to his project, JK said the songs in his latest album are about real life situations.
“Most of the tracks from this album are talking about real life situations, things that happen in the streets, in short im speaking for the people out there,” he said. “As you might be aware, it’s been long time since I last dropped something and people were complaining to say what is happening but I want to assure them that I’m back for the year 2008, and it will be up to the people to judge But Zambian music is beginning to grow, so people should not over judge,” JK added. JK said he decided to name his latest album No Pressure because it talks about the way he lives with his wife. “No Pressure is just the title I chose because it talks about the way I live with my madam (wife), so it’s no pressure but enjoy,” he said. JK said he did most of his tracks at Romaside studios, except for two tracks which he recorded from Kula Studios. “One of the tracks I did from Romaside is Epowaila which features renowned South African artiste Hugh Masekela, and the way it was, Hugh did an instrumental at Kula Studios, so when I listened to it, I liked it, that’s when I put a song in it and gave it to Hugh to listen, and he also liked it and gave a go ahead at no cost,” he said. And after a two-year break from the music scene, musician Joe Chibangu also known as the Ambassador has released his new album. The new album called The Challenge will be released on the market next week. The album was recorded at Chibangu's JM Studios and he produced it himself. The album features Exile, Wile and Ephraim with Uncle Rex on guitar. “I decided to call the new album The Challenge because after a 2 year break from music when I came back I found that music has really changed,” he said.
